NFIP Expires Tomorrow

NFIP Expires Tomorrow; Extension Expected

The NFIP expires tomorrow, September 30th at midnight, without an extension by Congress.  However, an extension to December 16th is expected by the deadline.  

Without an extension, the NFIP would not be able to write new business, issue renewal notices, or borrow more than $1b to pay claims.  

JFIB is also monitoring the remnants of Ian for further impacts. 

JFIB’s private flood marketplace is always available, even with an expiration of the NFIP.  We have exciting updates next week that will improve and grow the flood marketplace available to our agents.
